In develop you can get the info overlay by tabbing once or twice with the i key.

In the Library press Ctrl+J (Cmd+J on a Mac) to choose what info to display on thumbnails and in Loupe view.

The choices you make for Loupe view will also apply to Develop.

Once you have set that up, you can press I to cycle through the various info modes in Library, Loupe view and Develop.
