Question

How do I select multiple images on windows laptop Lightroom

So i havent used lightroom in a LONG time and i am 100% certain i used to be able to select multiple images by using the 'normal' windows select tools of click first ,  [hold down] shift, click last [[or use arrows to select]].  After making that selection i used to be able to sync the group of images to the editing of the first.  that is apply whatever adjustments are made to the first image to the rest of the selection [like light colour correction]..

without the selection option [and sync option] it made a used-to-be quick and easy task difficult and tedius..

First, it's important to be clear whether you are dealing with "Lightroom Classic" (which is the latest evolution of the original Photoshop Lightroom desktop product, which can operate entirely locally), or with what is now called just "Lightroom" which is a different program with different capabilities. The latter works either entirely in the cloud or else with the help of a locally installed application (different from Lightroom Classic) which then refers back to the cloud.

Lightroom Classic's own ability to work with multiple images is unchanged. Its option "Auto Sync" can be activated, and in this mode LR Classic immediately applies any subsequent change onto all images that are currently highlighted. Otherwise, one can separately Sync or else Copy/Paste selected prior adjustment settings taken from one image, onto one or more other images.

Lightroom (the cloud based new product) has some ability to copy settings from one image onto another piecemeal, but not AFAIK to batch-adjust images directly.

You can use Shift+Ctrl/Cmd+V to paste copied settings to muliple selected images in the cloud version of Lightroom.

Correct Julz

Click to Select the reference image initially (or the image from which the edit changes are to be sourced) and then hold down Shift to further select a continuous range of images.

Ctrl / Cmd - Click will give you a non-continuous selection set.

Then (my LR Classic v8.4.1) click Sync Settings in the bottom right of the screen. In the Synchronise Settings window, select and apply the edit changes as appropriate.
