Question

How do I shut off DNG files being saved to my hard drive?

For some reason LR is now converting my raw files to DNG & then saving them on my hard drive whichis taking up an absorbanant amount of space.  Like 178GB!  I DO NOT want the DNG files saved to my Harddrive but I can't figure out where I can change that setting.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

If you want the original raw files then "Add" is the option to choose.

Hi there,

Would you mind sharing the version of Lightroom you are using? Please check the import settings for Lightroom to see if you have the option to "Copy as DNG" selected while importing the images  instead of any other.

Im on  a Mac OS Catalina v10.15.3

Lightroom I'm using Lightroom Classic thru CC so it's the most recent version.

AHH I just checked & at import the "copy as DNG is highlighted.  Is it best to click Add?
