Hi all,

How do I uninstall then reinstall Lightroom on my MacBook Pro?

I have Creative Cloud. Do I simply Uninstall Lightroom on my MacBook then reinstall from Creative Cloud?

Thanks,

Geoff

Thanks for your responses -

My Aim: I want to be able to edit from my iMac and MacBook using the same Backup. I keep my Lightroom Backup and all photos on an external Hard Drive when editing on my iMac.

My Problem:

If I plug my HD into my MacBook Laptop it defers to the Lightroom Back on the MacBook (I don't need the Backup on my MacBook).

When I tried Lightroom>File>Open on HD I got this mesage:

As I don't understand what it means and I don't want to loose all the work on the HD, I thought I would Uninstall/reinstall Lightroom on the MacBook and hope that it will open Lightroom on the HD without complications.

Can you advise? Thanks

All catalog files end with a DOT ( . ) LRCAT in lower case (.lrcat)

Since you have 2 in that folder, LR Catalog.lrcat and LR Catalog-2.lrcat I would open the one with the -2 (LR Catalog-2.lrcat).

Thanks but....opening either of them didn't work. It offered to create another Library. I said yes but then it just opened a new, empty folder.

Any other suggestions?

TIA

Uninstall/re-install rarely solves any problems.
