Correct answer Jim Wilde

Now I have 2 other issues:

1) since I reloaded LR6.0 using original dmg file, I now have only the 6.0 version.

But how could I get the latest update of that permanent version, please?

I checked clicking on Lightroom Help/Update, but answer is that all products have the latest version 😞

2) the module Maps is not displaying the map anymore since many months. The message is (translated from French):

"Google Maps didn't load correctly on this page. For more technical information please check the Javascript console".

I don't know how to check the Javascript console.

If you have any idea about what should I do, please?

Have all a nice WE 🙂

For issue 1) use the link provided by @Rob_Cullen earlier in this thread.

For issue 2) I don't think there is a solution, i.e. the Map module no longer works in LR6.xx

I have seen other reports of early v6 with problems- not starting, etc.

It is appearing that v6.14 is the only stable version that is not having problems.

v6.14 can currently be downloaded from-

https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/lightroom-6-end-of-support.html

and follow the advice if @TheDigitalDog to reset preferences.

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.1.1, Photoshop 27.3.1, ACR 18.1.1, Lightroom 9.0, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.2 .

Hello dear All,

many thanks for your inputs 🙂

a friend suggested me to check the ressource monitor to see if one of the ressources were overloaded, causing the crash.

And I was surprised that the application CleanMyMac v3, that I thought inactive, was using 99% of the processor!

I stopped it and relaunched LR6.0, and no more crash :)!!!

So, good to know.

I didn't update CleanMyMac v3 to the latest (payable) version, maybe is it the reason why it is causing such ressource usage.

So, good to know 🙂

Try resetting your Lightroom preferences:
https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/setting-preferences-lightroom.html

Quit Lightroom Classic.
MacOS: Press and hold the Shift + Option keys.
Windows: Press and hold the Shift + Alt keys.
While holding down the keys, launch Lightroom Classic.
When asked, select "Yes".

You may want to try updating to the highest dot release available for LR6.  This may have been LR/6.10 but I could be wrong on that.

Hello dear Califdan2, thanks for your feedback 🙂 FYI, the latest version of the permanent version of LR is 6.14.
