How to delete a keyword from a photo?

Hi - I searched all over and found nothing regarding this.  I just upgraded from LR 6 to CC, and when I imported a bunch of photos from my camera, I discovered that the keywords I attached when I imported can't be removed from the photos.  I can easily add keywords, but unlike LR6, there doesn't appear to be any way to remove one (that was applied in error)?

On my Lightroom Classic, the behavior of the Keywording panel hasn't changed since LR 2.

Next to the text "Keyword Tags" in the Keywording panel is a dropdown menu. You need to have it set to "Enter Keywords" and then you should be able to edit the keywords in the box.

AFAIK, and I just tested this, it works exactly the same as it always did.

Select the photo, open the Keyword List section, Find the keyword that you want to remove (it should have a Check Mark to the left of it) Click that Check Mark to take it away. When hovering over that keyword all images displayed in the Grid View area will have a white boarder, Once the check mark is clicked to remove it from that image it won't have a white boarder and or migh disappear if you actually selected that keyword to display all the images assign that keyword.

OK, that does work, though it is highly annoying, since I have hundreds of keywords and I have to scroll down to find the one I want to delete.  The LR6 process allowed me to edit in the keyword display box, which was a LOT more powerful and convenient (I could even delete the asterisk that said only some of the selected photos didn't have that keyword, and then all of them did!)

Thank you for showing me that - I figured there was a new way to do it, but it wasn't at all obvious, and watching interminable videos on "how to use keywords" didn't mention it.

Thanks!

I dopn't think this has changed from LR 6 to Lightroom Classic (but since you said LR CC, do you mean the new cloud-based Lightroom)? What is your exact version NUMBERR of Lightroom? (go to Help->System Info and report the Lightroom version NUMBER shown there). Do not tell us "latest" or "up-to-date" or other such words.

In other words, the answer depends on which version of Lightroom you have now.

According to "About..." I have Release 9.3 with Camera Raw 12.2.  And it most definitely HAS changed - in LR6, all I had to do was edit out the keywords I didn't want in the little keyword box, and they disappeared from the photo (or photos) I had selected.  This box does not allow editing anymore, and the box below is strictly for adding.
