How to Enhance Your Workflow in Lightroom Classic

I’m facing this issue while using Lightroom Classic for managing and editing large photo collections. Despite my efforts to optimize the software, I still experience slow performance, especially when working with multiple catalogs. The workflow feels disorganized, and it becomes challenging to apply consistent edits to multiple images efficiently.

I’ve tried using some presets and organizing my photos into folders, but I’m still struggling to find the right balance between speed and quality. I’d love to know if there are specific techniques, settings, or tools within Lightroom Classic that could help enhance my workflow and speed up the process without sacrificing the quality of my edits.

Has anyone faced similar challenges and found effective solutions to streamline their workflow in Lightroom Classic? Any tips or best practices would be greatly appreciated.

Some things that strike me about your problem.

  • Don't use multiple catalogs, that certainly slows you down and doesn't provide benefits in most cases.
  • Apply consistent edits to multiple images: you can copy and paste from one image to another (assuming they are in the same catalog). You can also create your own presets if you are performing the same action(s) on many photos.

In my opinion, "disorganized workflow" is the fault of the user, not the fault of the software. Do all of your organizing of photos in the Library module before switching to Develop. Then in the Develop module, do all of your edits without switching to other modules.

I've removed the link you included in your post as it is not related to Lightroom Classic workflow, etc.
