    - Choose the button labeled: Show Lightroom Presets Folder.

    - Double click on the Lightroom Folder, then double click on Develop Presets Folder.

    - Copy the folder(s) of your presets into Develop Presets folder.

Hello Tina, The method by Mike is great because you get to learn where your Presets are stored. Good for making backup copies, etc.

Be aware also that the Presets can be stored in another location if you use the Preferences option to "Store Presets with this Catalog".

    Another method using Lightroom is-

    1) If the Presets were supplied in a .ZIP folder, first extract them to a folder. (Note the name of the folder!)

    2) In Lightroom/Develop module/Presets Panel:  Right-click on the {User Presets} 'folder' and in the menu that opens- click on [Import...]

    3) Navigate to the folder (the name you remember from Step 1.)

    4) Select (highlight) the Preset files you want to Import.

    5) Click on [Import]

    Done.

Trouble installing presets on a Mac. Lightroom CC.

I am able to do the steps above, but the file I have dowloaded is a "zip" and my computer is not able to recognize this file type. Nor do I seem to have the ability to "decompress" it as instructed in the how to install steps.

    Lightroom version: CC 2015.14 [ 1149743 ]

    License: Creative Cloud

    Language setting: en-US

    Operating system: Mac OS 10

    Version: 10.12.6 [16G1918]

    Application architecture: x64

    Logical processor count: 8

    Processor speed: 4.0 GHz

    Built-in memory: 32,768.0 MB

Real memory available to Lightroom: 32,768.0 MB

    Lightroom version: CC 2015.14 [ 1149743 ]

You're on a two-year-old version of LR -- 2015.14 is the same as 6.14, and LR is currently at 8.3.1. Adobe changed the format of presets since that version, from ".lrtemplate" to ".xmp".   Your version can only load the old .lrtemplate format, while newer versions can load either format.

You have a subscription version (CC 2015.14), so upgraded to the latest LR 8.3.1 would be included as part of that subscription.  Is there a reason you haven't upgraded?  Upgrading would make it much easier for you to import presets you've downloaded.
