How to share catalogs over the new Google Drive? (Error: Lightroom cannot launch with this catalog)

Hello all,

I have two macbooks and I am using Google Drive (Google Backup & Sync) on both laptops, in order to sync many files, including pictures and my Lightroom Catalogs...

However, it seems that Google drive has had an update, where the Google Drive is being added like a Network Volume.

And when I try to open my catalog, I get the following exception in Lightroom:

Lightroom cannot launch with this catalog. It is either on a network volume or on a volume on which Lightroom cannot save changes.

Current Google Drive has the new option to stream files instead of mirroring on the local disk.

Make sure you have set that option to mirroring, as the streaming mode probably does not work with LrC.

I can confirm that on Windows it still works as expected with mirroring mode.
