Question

How to use international characters in Lightroom Book text

It seems that when working in Book module Lightroom does not recognize international characters.

I can use international characters with no issue in Library module but, for some reason, cannot enter them in Book module.

Is this is bug or something which I do wrong?

It seems that when I create international text outside of Lightroom (in Outlook or Word for example) and paste it in, Lightroom accepts it.

I use Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC 7.5 Release on Windows 10 PC.

Which Unicode characters in particular are you trying to enter? And which method are you using to enter them?  (Details matter here.)

    Hi,

    I use standard Windows method:

In Windows Language preferences I added  Polish language "Polish (Programmers) keyboard"

From the bottom task bar I can now switch between English US and Polish.

To type Polish characters I switch to Polish language and use combination of right Alt key and a letter to get special character.

For example right-Alt a will produce ą, right-Alt s will give ś and so on. So I can type characters such as ąśńół etc.

This works in all applications - Outlook, Excell, Word, Lightroom (Library module) etc. But for some reason it does not work in Lightroom Book module for text. However, if I write text in Polish somewhere else (Outlook for example) and than copy it and paste to Lightroom Book module text, Lightroom will accept Polish characters.

Here is a Polish unicode set

I assume these are the codes which Windows produces when using Polish and right Alt letter method.
