Hi,

Does anyone have experience with this issue? My .jpg preview looks fine, but then as soon as the .RAW file appears, it looks all messed up. This doesn't happen to all the pics from a shoot, only a few random ones, and you can see the image preview perfectly in the carousel...

How can I fix this, or work around it?

Hi there,

Sorry that your images are showing up corrupt in Lightroom Classic while viewing them in the Develop module.

Could you please let us know the version of Lightroom Classic and operating system you're using?

There can be two possibilities here:

The GPU drivers on your computer are not updated or Lightroom does not support it. To verify if this is what causing the issue, please uncheck the option "use graphics processor" under the Preferences> Performance menu and see if the issue still persists. See this linked article for more info: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/lightroom-gpu-faq.html#HowdoIdetermineifLightroomClassi...

2) This could also mean that the storage media where your images are stored or imported from is corrupt causing this glitch in your images. Please try importing couple images directly to your desktop and then into Lightroom to verify the problem.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Akash

Hi Akash,

Thank you, the problem has been resolved. I just had to turn off the UGP setting.

It might be a video driver problem, but not likely.

This is usually file corruption due to a hardware problem:

memory card going bad

bad sectors on the hard drive

problems with the card reader

problems with the USB cable for the card reader (very common)

Try copying the file(s) from the card again using a different USB cable or a different USB slot.
