Image Slideshow Alternatives - Lightroom slow at exporting video

I need to create a large slideshow for an upcoming life celebration. I've been using the slideshow module in Lr but I am finding it unacceptable. First, it is so slow to export to a video that fixes and edits are an overnight exercise. Second, the pan and zoom feature does not get imported to the video. Some of the slides jump around a bit, not all, but that is all it does.

If I were to just export all the images to jpg, what would be a good, free, external side show package that I could pick up to display the images? Very dissapointed with Lr on this one!

I'm using whatever is current and my GPU is off. I've found the 720P export is much faster and the slide zoom and shift seems to work OK. Howver, the images in 720p look pretty bad and the images pixelate snd wriggle as the image zooms.  I'm still setting up the show, so I won't be trying any additional exports for a few days.

Hi there,

As the Slideshow module is slow at exporting videos, could you please let us know the version of Lightroom you're working with?

Have you tried turning off the GPU option from Lightroom's preferences? Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.
