Import Catalog

I would like to use a MacBook Air 15-inch with M2 chip with Lightroom classic as my travel PC.  Upon returning from a trip I would like to export the images as a catalog from the MacBook Air to an external disk (Exfat).  Then import the catalog into my Lightroom Classic Windows 11 desktop.  Will this work?  If so, will I loss any data?
