hi.
I`d like to import DNGs from my Leica SL2 direct to the macbookpro (connected via USBc cable) via Lightroom. Lightroom is creating 2 folders (see attached screenshot) but the import failed.
LR reports a error message - .. files could not be read or the designation-folder has no write rights....
--> when i do the some with my NIKON Z9 - everything works fine!!
-------------------
i don`t know if OSX or Adobe is the problem.
before i updated to ventura and to the latest LR everything worked fine...

Initial troubleshooting:
1. Make sure you've granted LR Full Disk Access (required even if you've previously granted LR Files And Folders access):
2. Are the destination folders on an external drive? There was a problem with that with Mac OS 13 that LR 12.0.1 is supposed to fix, but I recall some posts claiming they still experienced a problem.
3. Try importing use a card reader rather than a USB cable.

hi.
1) LR has full access
2) no it is the internal disk
3) transfer via cardreader works.
ad-> the transfer via cable (usbc) works with my Nikon Z9 with no problems.....

There are some other reports of importing via USB cable not working with LR 12 / Mac OS 13. Hopefully a pattern will start to emerge.

I found the solution! - I have to change the USB settings on the Camera from PTP to MassStorage.
now all is fine.....

"I have to change the USB settings on the Camera from PTP to MassStorage."
Excellent. Thanks for posting, that could help others.
This suggests the issue is with Mac OS 13's implementation of PTP. Unfortunately, fewer and fewer cameras implement the Mass Storage Protocol, so their users may not have this option.
