Import to catalog

I'm having problems trying to import new photos to my catalog. The usual process for me is to sync the folder and has been working for years, but since last week I tried to update and have several new folders with thousands of photos on it. The process never actually finished and the new folder got partially or no updated at all. The files can be visualized during the selection, but just a few of them got to be imported and after several hours waiting when I click the "x" on the progress bar a pop up message says there is no photos or videos found. That's happening while importing from different External Hard Drives. I already reinstalled LRC couple times, created new catalogs and selected individual photos to import  individually or the folder itself and the result is the same pop up message, although they aren't greyish and can be selected and visualized, meaning the path is correct, LRC recognize the photo.

Although I didn't have any suggestion or barely a comment here about the problem I encountered, I decided to update the post with the solution I found since this can be helpful in case someone else stop by. I had to uninstall Lightroom and reinstall older version to finally be able to import photos. I did test on another computer using the updated version and worked just fine so it has nothing to do with the files. I don't know if I try to update Lightroom will be my catalog working and the importing feature will be working normally, don't know if I willing to try.

What is the exact word-for-word pop-up message?

"No photo or video found ". But that shows after cancelling (click in the X at the progress bar on top left) the the import session that actually not going anywhere for several hours. This can happen to photo specific, or to several photos, no reason apparently.
