Question

Import window, how to see photos already imported once

So, I've imported some photos once. Something seemed strange so I deleted the photos from lightroom and the disk. Re-opened the import window and I can't see those photos in my import window. I have unchecked the "don't import suspected duplicates" and still won't show.

For information, my deleting process was the following:

- I've rejected the photos with x

- went to Photos > delete rejected photos

- deleted photos from disk.

How can I see those photos again in the import window to import then again?

Thanls

@Per Berntsen @JohanElzenga

Thanks for your reply.

I understand that when they are deleted, they are gone.

But I still have them in my memory card because. But when I open the import window, they aren't showing. That is the issue I am encountering. Why is that?

Just to clarify - you can see the card and card reader from your import dialog box but not the images?

If you deleted the photos from disk, then obviously Lightroom cannot import them again (unless you still have them on a memorycard or a backup disk, or indeed if they are still in the bin)...

When you remove photos from LrC, they are no longer referenced by the catalog, and will not be regarded as suspected duplicates when you import them again.

When you tell LrC to delete photos from disk, it's a regular delete, the files are gone, and they will not show up in the import dialog. If you haven't emptied the Recycle bin (or whatever it's called on a Mac), you should be able to restore them from there.
