Importing Photos is moving photos out of the original folder

Hello, I am importing images into Lightroom Classic. I used to be able to import them as normal. But now when I import, they are removing the images from the original folder. Why is this happening and what setting can I turn off so this doesn't happen? Thank you!

You have probably selected MOVE in the Import dialog box. It sounds like you want to select ADD.

Sounds like you have chosen the Move option in the Import dialog.

Change it to Add, which should do what you want.
