Issues importing DCP presets into LR 12.4

Hi everyone,

This seems like a topic that has continued to show up since LR's updates over the last few years. But despite scouring the internet for a solution and spending far too much time moving files to various folders, adjusting permissions on my computer and in LR, I am still unable to view the DCP presets (old VSCO presets) I'm attempting to transfer.

When importing they go to this folder:
Librabry > Application Support > Adobe > Camera Raw > Camera Profiles > Import

From there they do not show up.

I have:

- Gone into my Mac's system preferences > Security & Privacy > Full Disk Access > Added LR
- Gone into my LR's preferences > Presets > selected show Partially compatible develop presets

- Gone into my macs Library > Application Support > Adobe > Camera RAW > Imported Settings (where every other import of mine lives > and pasted these files within a folder in there (and have also pasted them without a folder in there)

All of which has still resulted in me being unable to see or find these presets within LR when it is open.
Any support on how to navigate the importing of DCP presets would be suuuuper apprecaited!

Thank you!

I understand your frustration with importing DCP presets into Lightroom. It's a common issue that many photographers face. Let's try a few more steps to see if we can resolve this. Firstly, double-check that the DCP presets you're trying to import are in a compatible format for Lightroom, as sometimes presets can be in a format that Lightroom doesn't recognize. After making adjustments, consider restarting Lightroom, as sometimes changes take effect only after a fresh start. Also, ensure that the presets are organized correctly within the Camera Raw folder, matching the format that Lightroom expects. As a last resort, you can try backing up your Lightroom preferences and then resetting them to their default settings, as this can sometimes resolve stubborn issues. If these steps still don't solve your problem, it might be worth reaching out to Adobe's support or the VSCO community for more specific guidance, as they may have encountered and resolved this issue before. Best of luck, and I hope you can successfully import those presets!

Hi,

They're for a Mark IV and I'm shooting with a Mark IV.

"When importing they go to this folder: Librabry > Application Support > Adobe > Camera Raw > Camera Profiles > Import"

That is the wrong folder nowadays. They should not be stored anymore in the Library folder that is in the root of Macintosh HD, but in the same path in the User Library folder, so Macintosh HD > Users > YourUserName > Librabry > Application Support > Adobe > Camera Raw > Camera Profiles. Note that this Library folder is hidden by default, so if you need to know how to unhide it: https://www.techbout.com/open-library-folder-mac-22572/

Please note that these are camera profiles, not presets! So make sure you ste looking for them in the correct place.

Hi Johan,

I'm on a mac! I've never had an issue finding my hidden librabry folder as that has been one of the first steps that every support mentions I follow for this very issue.

When I follow this same path ~/Library >  Users/"my name">Libabry >Application Support > Adobe > Camera RAW > Camera Profiles it does bring me to the "Imported" folder as being the final folder within that chain which is where my camera profiles are ending up and still now showing up.

They're DCP files, there's a screenshot attached for reference. I'm not sure if it's a preset or a profile.
You noted it was a profile which is why I then referred to it as a profile.

I'm using a Mark IV and the profiles are set for Mark IV. They just are not showing up on the right hand column where they used to show up and they're not showing up under the profile drop down (the right hand column).

Can you post a screenshot of your right hand column, the profiles selection.
