Issues with Subject masking when copying settings from Cloud photo to local copy photo

I use Lr Mobile to edit my photos during event shooting. When I am back at home I import my photos from camera to LrC and let LrC to sync the photos on Adobe Cloud. Because I want only to store the local copy (I will eventually delete the cloud photos) I copy the all the edit setting from Cloud photo to locally imported copy. Many cases there are several photos fro the same subject, but I have edited only one (in Lr), so I might paste the settings of one Lr edited photo to several photos in LrC. The issue is when I have used Subject Mask in Lr (Mobile). LrC can't "reprocess" the Mask correctly, instead it is showing the original photo mask in new photo. Even if I delete the Subject mask completely and create a new one, the mask is from the other photo (where I copied the settings). LrC never created/computed a new mask.

This works fine if everythig is done in LrC. I can edit one photo and create a Subject Mask. If I copy the settings from one photo to an other the Subject mask is "recomptued". If the photo editing is done in Lr side and you copy the settings in LrC from Cloud file to local files, LrC doesn't recompute the Subject mask and you even can't create a new one, because it's comptured based on the photo where you copied the settings.

One item I overlooked

2. Lightroom Android v.9.4.3

When you are having your Copy Settings, then Pate Settings issue, is that Android device connected to your computer?

LrC has a bad history of having issues when Android devices are attached. Might be a old issue, might have been fixed. But....

Ok, I can not repeat this issue on my rig. Appears that the issue  occurs when using the Loupdeck to copy the Develop Settings, or more specifically Copy All Settings (Masks are not copied in the Copy Develop Settings selection)

This selection:

And note in the link the author included:

The Copy All Settings does include Masks.

One not so nice issue, is when using the Loupedeck to do this, you do not get presented with the Copy Settings Screen. The LoupeDeck selection does not allow for selecting what to copy. This screen:

But, then, in that link above, that is basically stated.

Now as for the AI Mask, and in my case I tested with a Sky Mask, If I was working with RAW photos, the AI is was automatically recomputed.  If the target photo was a TIFF, then the mask needed to be recomputed. But the recompute worked. Also, I could delete the mask, thne create a new mask that had no relationship to the previous mask

My Loupedeck a Loupedeck Live, LoupeDeck software (to configure buttons) v5.9.1.19364. Loupedeck2 LrC Plugin v5.4.0.0, LrC v13.4

In summary, I cannot repeat.

This may have nothing to do with your issue, however:

Graphics Processor Info:
DirectX: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER (31.0.15.4633)
Init State: GPU for Image Processing supported by default
User Preference: GPU for Export enabled

So NVIDIA driver v546.33. Over at NVIDIA v560.81 is shown as latest (Studio Driver)

You may want to update that.

  1. Why have you not updated to v13.4?
  2. Your Lightroom Mobile, what version?

Hey @jsipmki

Echoing what GoldingD mentioned above. Can I also ask the location of your catalog on your computer?
