Issues with the Healing brush

Hi, I have a photo that is a clear blue background on a balcony. I'm sitting on the ground so I'm facing up about 30 degrees. To get the look I want there is a little bit of the roof over hang that is still in the corner of my image. 

 

With either of the 3 options, it will not just remove the corner of the roof to have just clear sky. 

 

When I use the clone stamp it clears it but then the circle is very apparent. When I go over the spot again, the corner gets some blurry dark spot. Then if I go over again, the roof actually comes back a bit? 

 

I can't get it to just be clear sky. It should just be one click but for whatever reason 3 different methods aren't working and this is getting infuriating.

Have you applied any AI masking to the sky? It's counter-intuitive, but you need to use Healing before you apply AI masking:

    So I have to use something other than these 3 options to remove a small corner of the shot? That makes no sense. 

     

    So I opened the photo up in Photoshop. I chose the healing brush tool and chose a section of sky and it was totally fixed with 10 or so swipes and less than 10 seconds. 

     

    I undo my work and tried again using the Spot Healing Brush tool and it was fixed in 3 swipes. Not 4, but 3. Why doesn't Lightroom have this tool?

     

    Why am I having to use AI to do this when there are 3 tools in Lightroom designed for this type of editing but SUCK!?!?!? 

    Adobe needs to go back to the drawing board and fix this silly issue. I see free apps for phones with better results than software I pay for monthly. That's not good for your reputation. Pretty soon I'll just uninstall it and use free software if the results are similar or actually better.

    Did you try applying the Healing tools before applying the AI masking?
