Just wavy lines, no image

Help. I'm paying a monthly fee for Lightroom Classic desktop and am still using the 2015
version because the newer versions won't download the images off the camera, neither LR Classic desktop nor the cloud-based LR. Should I uninstall LR completely and start over?

If you mean to that you are seeing lines instead of the image in Develop, try to disable the GPU.

Windows: Edit menu > Preferences > Performance > Uncheck Use graphics processor.

Mac: Lightroom menu > Preferences > Performance > Uncheck Use graphics processor.

What exactly happens when you try? If there is an error message, please quote it in full.

Should I uninstall LR completely and start over?

Reinstalling is not likely to fix any of the issues.

It does not give me an error message.

what do you mean the newer version won't download the images off the camera? How do I download the images off the CF card, then?
