keyword and title extraction of CR2 files

We are importing  CR2 files in AEM. It extracts most of the metadata expect keyword and title. ( most important metadata). I used online http://exif.regex.info/exif.cgi  It looks like CR2 file stores all-most all metadata expect keyword and title.  Have you come across such a use-case? Do you know any workaround? Note : Corresponding XMP file has the title/keywords though.

Question:

Are you asking about Adobe Experince Manager with AEM?

As above the keywords and Title are not written to the actual RAW file. They are in the XMP sidecar file if you have that option turned. Other Adobe programs, Bridge and ACR and maybe some others, can read and show them.

Why are you importing the CR2 files into this AEM program? What are you trying to gain by doing that. It might be better to Export from LR classic to JPGs or TIFs and then import those.

yep! agree with the flow you suggested. I think our media team wanted to have all types of assets in one place. In our case in AEM DAM.

Is this a Lightroom Classic question?

 

Lightroom Classic does not write metadata to the original CR2 file (with one exception, it can change the capture date/time if you tell Lightroom Classic to do so)

hi we are using Lightroom Classic.  Attached is the metadata extracted of CR2 file.
