Keyword hierarchy issue

Question

My keyword list has several entries with hiearchys. I'm having trouble with one. The hierarchy is:

Things

Transport

Land Transport

Motorcycle

Make

Ariel

Bimoto

BMW

BSA

. . . .

Yamaha

My problem is when I click to the far right on the right arrow for Makes, I don't get the showing of all the photos included in the various makes. I should see 244 photos from all the make categories but when I click the arrow it says "No photos match the filter."

When I look at the keywords under keywords and containing, I see all the hierarchy keywords. For instance, on an Ariel motorcycle, I see: Things, Transport, Land Transport, Motorcycle, Makes < Motorcycle, Ariel.

Any idea why clicking the right arrow for Makes is not showing the photos from the lower hierarchy categories? I have a similar arrangement for cars and that works fine. I have recently rearranged my keyword list by dragging and dropping entries.

I checked it and yes it was set to hierarchical. I ended up making a new category under Motorcycle called Temp, then moved all the subcategories under Make to Temp. I deleted the now empty Make category and renamed Temp to Make. That fixed it. Now when I click the far right arrow next to Make I see the photos from all the subcategories.

Is Make set as exportable?In the Library Filter, is that column set to Hierarchical or Flat?
