Hi to all,

I am experimenting some issues with the lens correction module with the Tamron 35-150 2.0-2.8 paired with sony A1.

- the adobe lens profile it looks like to over correct the lens. white vignet and sometime also barrel or pinch distortion depending on the focal length i am shooting with.

LR reconize the built in profile. I guess just for chromatic aberration because if i tick out the profile correction the lens is uncorected despide the built.in profile is read and apply by lightroom.

do somebody have any clue about this problem?

is there a way to force LR to read the original profile of the brand

best

Gio

Please post a full-resolution screenshot (not a phone pic) of the Lens Corrections panel along with the pop-up that appears when you click "i Build-in Lens Profile applied", e.g.

That will let us see precisely which options are selected.

Hi,

what I was saying is that the Adobe profile for the tamron 35-150 is over corrected. That means instead of correcting the vignette from black to "normal" it correct it with a white vignette, so I have to correct manually to 50 or less depending on the focal lenght, for normal is meant the same exposure of the middle.

Moreover some times the adobe profile handle the barrel and pinch distortion not properly.

Now I could upload thousand of pics, which is kind of pointless, take please my word.

I was more interested to know if somebody is experiencing the same problems and if Adobe is able to read the producer built-in lens profile. I do know that is sony who doesn't allow some functionality. But Adobe introduced some years ago the possibility to import camera settings I was wondering if there was another option i missed to import the camera lens profile.

thanks for you help

best

It's not about persuading me -- as I mentioned, the only reason to upload example pics would be if you wanted to make a request to Adobe to improve the lens profile.  Without providing examples, they wouldn't pay any attention.
