Lightroom 14.4 Merge to HDR hanging forever

Updated to LR Classic 14.4. Initially everything seemed OK. Managed to do a few HDR merges, but now when I try, I get the preview screen coming up, but once I click to actually do the merge, it gets a little way into the process an then the progress bar just seems to stop and the merge doesn't complete, even after like 10 minutes. The interface is still responsive. It's just the merge process that doesn't complete.

I have tried restarting LR and my PC but that doesn't seem to fix it.
I also downgraded to version 14.3.1 and it still doesn't work.

Seems properly broken, which is very annoying, as I have client work to do.

UPDATE: I don't know what happened but all of a sudden it's working again. I was looking through the images in Library view and realised that it actually had created the HDR files, so it must've just been the progress bar that was hanging. I deleted the duplicate HDR files and then moved on to the next sequence, and then it created the merge properly with no issues. Very weird.
