Question

lightroom 5.7.1 to current lightroom classic?

I need to update Lightroom 5.7.1 to allow functionality with Nikon Z cameras.  What is the best way to do this?  Can I skip version 6 etc and go direct to the most current?  And will may current photos/catalogs be updated?  Sorry for the basic questions.  Been a happy user of 5.7.1 for a while and now my head's up out of the "book" and I realize I am several generations behind.

    Thank you for your replies.

I have the new version of lightroom installed (classic CC).  When I go to File there is no option to select File > open catalog.  ??  So there seems no way to update or import my existing catalog from 5.7.1

    What am I doing wrong?

And note- Classic v8.1 is only available by subscription. (A "Perpetual" license is not possible)

for the nikon z6 you need lr classic 8.1 or later.

the new version of lr should update your catalog, http://www.adobe.com/products/catalog/software._sl_id-contentfilter_sl_catalog_sl_software_sl_mostpopular.html
