Lightroom 5.7 on my computer isn't able to recognize my Iphone pics anymore? I don't knw if it's an issue with my pictures or with Lightroom. My phone did an update and once this happened Lightroom won't recognize my Iphone pics. I have no idea if its a setting issue or what. Could someone please help me out? The other strange part is there are 444 pics in the folder but it only recognizes 1 image?!

Your Lightroom is old.  Your phone is newer.   Your phone did an update so may have changed to Apple's preferred photo format called "HEIC".   The old Lightoom is not equipped to handle the new photo format.  Go into the phone settings and force it to shoot in the tradional, common JPEG format.

I followed these steps given below but once I reach Browse for driver updates and you have to navigate to common files, the Apple... well I have no Apple at that point?!

Assuming you are using Windows:  Close Lightroom.  With your iPhone/iPad plugged into the computer, try going to the Control panel and open "Devices and Printers".  Scroll towards the bottom and you should see [Apple Mobile Device USB Driver] under Unspecified.

Right click on the Apple Mobile Driver and select Properties

Select Hardware Tab

Click Properties on bottom right

Click Change Settings

Select Driver Tab

Click Update Driver

Click "Browse my computer for driver software"

Click the Browse button and navigate to: Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers

Click OK, then select next.

Proceed with the driver up date.

Disconnect your iPhone/iPad from the lightning cable connecting to to the computer

Unlock your iPhone/iPad and reconnect to computer

Open Lightroom and see if you can now import.

Hope this helps!

That was the issue!! Thank you so much!

Just for clarity in case anyone else happens along:

"Your Lightroom is old.  Your phone is newer."

This isn't - and can't bethe issue, or this phone/Lr combination would never have worked..

Bug reports are not accepted against old versions of Lightroom - moving to discussions.
