I'm trying to import dng files.  I've tried another set of files from another directory but it stll crashes.  I'm using MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1 and have 32gb installed.  It used to work fine till about a couple of weeks ago, however it's been a few months since I last processed any photos.  I'd reinstall it but I can't find my original disk and serial number.

Can anyone out there make any suggestions please?

The obvious choice is to take a subscription to Lightroom Classic.

And not be forgotten, the camera manufacturers often provide free software-

Canon:  Digital Photo Professional.

Nikon:  Nikon NX Studio.

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.1.1, Photoshop 27.3.1, ACR 18.1.1, Lightroom 9.0, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.2 .

Lightroom 5 is ancient software. You can't (re)install it on MacOS Sonoma, because the installer is 32bits and Sonoma only supports 64bits applications.

Thank you John, that explains it well.  I didn't find this answer when I Googled.  Now I need to buy some new software, preferably with similar functionality as Lightroom.  Any suggestions?
