Question

Lightroom 6.00

I have LR 6 not the cloud based software by stand alone.

I have been able to download and view all my Sny A65 and A77 files but having purchased a Sony A99ii this now will not recognise these files unless converted to DNG and I would like to use my lens correction occasionally but unable to do this when converting to DNG?

I have been on loads of forums and it say to upgrade to lightroom 6.0 which is what I have, I have no need for the cloud at the present time, how can I get LR 6 to recognise these files?

Thanks

As far as you can see here  you need Lightroom version 6.8 or higher to support files from the Sony A99II.

Ther latest version of Lightroom 6 that is available is version 6.14

Try the update function in you installed Lightroom or downloafd the installation files here: Download Photoshop Lightroom

    My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 8 - PureRAW 5 - Topaz Photo

It seems that the updates are no longer available from that website. If that is the case then the only option available would be to use the DNG converter to create digital negative (DNG) copies of your raw files that can be then opened in the Lightroom 6 that is now installed.

Take a look on the file name. It's Lightroom_6_LS11.exe.

And read the latest posts in this thread.

Issue downloading 6.14 update to Lightroom 6.0

It is written that even the version 6.14 is available.

Alex, that filename does not mean it's 6.11. In fact, I have downloaded and installed it as a test for a similar user issue at Lightroom Forums, and it is a full installer of 6.14. It's confusing, because the installer indicates it's installing 6.0, but it actually is 6.14.

I have moved this from Forum comments to Lightroom Classic CC — The desktop-focused app where you shoud be able to get a better answer.
