Hi, try english instead,

I plan to upgrade my LR 6.4 version (macOS Mojave, 10.14.4) to LR Classic 8.2.1.

My question is: What happens to my present LR meta data (Lightroom Catalog.lrcat, Lightroom Previews.lrdat, etc.) when I install the new software (Lightroom Classic)?

Do the installation process an upgrade automatically or what happends?

I have almost 35.000 edited images in the LR catalog.

Thanks for any help.

Regards

Peter

    Correct answer Just Shoot Me

    As above follow that link.

Basically you Copy the Folder the catalog is in over to the new computer. That will copy the catalog and all needed subfolders.

Copy all your images from the old computer to the new computer keeping the Exact same folder structure.

Purchase the Photography plan subscription and install LR 8.2.1 on your new computer.

When LR opens for the first time it should find your original LR 6 catalog and ask you if you want to Upgrade it. Select YES.

LR 8.x will then make a Copy of the LR 6 catalog and upgrade that copy. Leaving your LR 6 catalog intact.
