Question

Lightroom Camera Calibration

I recently purchased a Color Checker Passport and want to use camera profiles. I watched several video's on this and I am pretty certain I know the correct workflow.  I shoot the subject holding the passport.  Then in lightroom, under file->Export with Preset->ColorChecker Passport then give it a name.  My problem comes in the development module.  When I scroll to the bottom where I expect to find the Camera Calibration tab, I only find Calibration.  I've gone under Windows->Panel and selected Camera Calibration, but it still only shows Calibration and does not give me the option to select a profile, see below.  I can't seem to turn on the Camera Calibration panel, no matter what I do.  I'm running Mac OS 10.13.4 and Lightroom Classic CC ver 7.3 Camera Raw 10.3.  Any suggestions?

I had the same problem exactly like yours. Here is the solution:

Go to Develop mode, then Basic, Profile, click Browse, you should now see Profiles, in my case my profile is named Untilted profile.

Develop a raw image that hasn't been edited. Click Basic > Profile > Browse> Profiles. Your color checker should appear there.

Adobe have just relocated the calibration option to the top of the menu.

This explains where it is:

The latest update to ACR, Lightroom and PS appears to have removed the ability to use Color Checker.  I've used it for years with these three programmes (even up to last week).  I now find that I can't access the panel that let me choose the colour profile for my camera set up.  Hopefully they will fix this ASAP.  PS.  I'm on a Windows 10 set up.

Thanks for the quick response.  After I posted this, I recalled watching a video just the other day about it moving to the Basic panel.  I just got my color checker passport and the profile I create does not show up.  I wonder if the profile is being put in the wrong folder, perhaps Light room changed the folder location for the profiles and the colour checker software is using the older location.

No, the location is still the same. Do you not see this particular profile, or don't you see any of the profiles in the Basic panel?
