Question

Lightroom CC Classic does not sync on all devices

Hello,

I currently have the following problem and hope that someone from you can help me:

I use the latest version of LR CC Classic on both an iMac and a MacBook. Of course I'm logged in with both of my devices with my Adobe ID.

Now, when I create collections under "From LR Mobile" on the iMac and start syncing, only the names of the collections, but 0 photos, appear on the MacBook for some time. The files are available on the iPad. The ominous is that it worked until about 3 months ago without any problems and I am not aware that I have changed something.

Does anyone have a tip for me, which I could possibly do wrong or try?

Thank you in advance for your efforts!

You can only sync one single Lightroom Classic catalog. So if you synched the one on the iMac, then you can't sync the catalog on the MacBook at the same time.

Yes I know that. This is about the collections "From LR Mobile" and not about the catalog.

I think you misunderstand the terminology. Collections are something inside your catalog. When you open Lightroom, it opens the catalog. Lightroom does not work without a catalog.

So what you have to understand is this: you can't sync Lightroom Classic on the iMac and Lightroom Classic on the MacBook at the same time. You have to choose which one you want to sync.

Many Thanks. So, for example, I can not start editing a file on the iMac and then finish it on the MacBook?
