Lightroom CC edits not syncing to Classic

Edits made on the computer- Lightroom CC Classic- do show on my iPad.

However, edits (develop, flags, etc) made in Lightroom CC aka Lightroom Mobile on my iPad never show up in Classic.

So basically my Lightroom CC's are only syncing one-way?!  I have done the hold-option-rebuild-sync-data thing, did not solve anything.  I had this issue a week ago and deleted all synced data (all images uploaded to CC/mobile) and then turned syncing on again and it fixed the problem... but I lost some work I had done on my iPad.  Now the problem has returned, and I have even more time invested in flagging and editing in CC/Mobile and do NOT want to delete all the synced photos, lose all that work, just to be here again next week?!

Have done lots of logging out, logging in, restarting... both on the computer and the iPad... nada

LR CC Classic is v 7.5 and the Creative Cloud app shows no updates available

LR CC (Mobile) is v 3.4.0 F59BE2 and also shows no updates available

Not sure if this is relevant, but last week- a few days before I had this problem the first time- I started using a different/new computer (2018 MacBook Pro, also up to date with no updates available).  This new computer is the only machine authorized/activated in my Adobe CC account

PLEASE HELP?!!!!!!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the reply Akash,

I followed the steps you advised (again- as I had already tried doing this) and it did not help.  I did however come across this thread, which *DID* help!

LR Classic 7.5 Sync error "bad argument #1 to '?' (number expected, got nil)

There is some kind of bug or something in Lightroom CC Classic 7.5 where syncing is unreliable... at best.  Installing 7.4 immediately solved all my sync issues - and it seems to have been the "solution" (work-around?) for many others as well

Hi airthug,

In Lightroom CC, wait until syncing has finished across Lightroom clients before deleting the images in Lightroom CC. Click the  icon at the upper-right corner in Lightroom CC to see the sync status.

To let the sync clear any pending files, Open  Lightroom Classic CC, Go to Preferences -> Lightroom Sync -> Press alt/option -> Rebuild Sync data . Lightroom will restart and syncing will reset and there will be noimpact on your images.

Not sure if this is relevant, but last week- a few days before I had this problem the first time- I started using a different/new computer (2018 MacBook Pro, also up to date with no updates available).  This new computer is the only machine authorized/activated in my Adobe CC account

Did you started using a new Lightroom catalog in Lightroom Classic CC?

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Akash

I hope anyone else that's being plagued by sync errors and going as nuts as I've been finds this thread and doesn't spend weeks smashing their head against a wall like I have...

The problem is not solved in Lightroom Release 8.0

I also downgraded to 7.4 and today I upgraded to 8.0. My sync has come to a complete stop.
