Lightroom CC Error Unable to merge photos

Want to merge 3 photos of the eclipse: raw, same aperture, shot with tripod. I receive this message: "Unable to merge photos. Not enough matching photos for merging." Tried it several times using drop-down menu and even using shortcut. Suggestions?
