For month now after every (!) update of LR Classic under Windows 11 the program language is set to german (the language of my OS) and I have to re-set it to English every time.

Why can LR not remember such a simple settings value?

  1. Go to adobe.com.
  2. Sign in (if not already)
  3. Go an click on the button to Manage your Account
  4. Select Edit Profile
  5. Scroll down and see what you have for preferred language.
  6. Oh, and this Adobe account and whatever e-mail you used to subscribe to a Plan, same account correct?

@GoldingD I don't think all of this is necessary for Lightroom Classic, except that he should set the CC app language to English. Lightroom Classic is multi-lingual by default. This is contrary to for example Photoshop, where you do need to install each language you want to be able to use separately. In Lightroom Classic all languages are always installed, so you can simply change language in the preferences.

@konrad79  This reset to German you see may happen because you run your OS (and the CC app?) in German, but Lightroom Classic in English. I run MacOS and Lightroom Classic in English (even though I am Dutch), and I do not see this language change when Lightroom Classic is updated. But I can change the language to Dutch and do so when I teach Lightroom Classic. But do set the app language to English in the CC app! My guess is that it is currently set to German...

The First Language in my Adobe account was and is set to English and the Default Install language in the CC Desktop is also set to English. Even if the CC Desktop itself likes to runs in German no matter what I try.
