Lightroom Classic 11.5 slow when selecting subject.
Full disclosure: I'm a complete newbie to Lightroom.
After a few days trying Lightroom "CC", I've tried switching to Lightroom Classic as it has more features and most of the online tutorials show how to do things in Classic. Everything seems to be ok... except for anything dealing with AI masks. Select Subject, Select Sky, and any subject/sky adaptive presets all take 3 minutes or more to work. Detecting..... Working...... Refining...... but when it's (eventually) done everything works fast from there.
My laptop is less than a year old and has minimal software installed. i7, 12MB RAM, Intel XE graphics. It's not top-of-the-line, but it should certainly be up to the task. All other aspects of Lightroom run quickly. I've updated the GPU driver (clean install) to the newest version available directly from Intel. I see in the forums I'm not the only person running in to this or similar issues.
I really want to get proficient in LR Classic, but this issue is making it almost unusable.
