Issue: Whenever the slideshow module in Lightroom Classic is used (even if nothing in slideshow is done), Lightroom Classic will never close properly. Whenever I try to quit, and answer the two questions - Do you want to quit? and Do you want to backup? I then get the multi-colored rolling ball. The only way to fix it is to uninstall Lightroom Classic with the REMOVE option, and then reinstall. Note: This is the first time I have tried to use the Slideshow module.

Lightroom Classic version: 11.5 (latest)

OS - MacOS Monterey 12.6 (latest)

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Lighroom Classic

2. Click on Slideshow

3. Close Lightroom Classic

Expected Result: Lightroom Classic closes properly closes (as it has done for me for years)

Actual Result: Lightroom Classic will not close without doing a Force Quit

While waiting for an answer, two suggestions-

1) Check in the Backup dialog that you have chosen a folder that is both available and allows Read/write permissons.

2) Reset your Preferences file. PREFERENCES RESET
