Question

Lightroom Classic 12.1 Diashow - Black Screen

Dear Lightroom Support,

i updated LRC to 12.1 and run on Mac OS Ventura 13.1.

Since the update, the diashow module is not working correctly anymore. If i select Fotos and start running the diashow, only a black screen is shown. No matter if i am running on one or two screens.

I am working since years with Lightroom and i assume this bug is related to the update.

Is there any fix available?

best,

Robert

Dear Community,

first of all, thanks a lot for your help. In the meantime i run on latest versions of both, Ventura and LRC.

Unfortunately the problem still exists. Regarding the setting for GPU references I have to add, that i am working on M1 chip, but not using Rosseta. I want to avoid, to change anything on the setup, even for other applications. I am not that experienced in Apple (first Mac) to understand, what consequences this will have. Further on i understood, that LRC is optimized even for M-Chip Architecture.

From that point of view, i am hoping that with any next updates the problem might get fixed.

Try to disable the GPU in Preferences > Performance.

If that fixes the issue, it's a bug in the GPU driver, and you'll have to wait for an OS update to install the latest version of the  driver.
