Ok this has been happening for a couple of days now. I can drop in my RAW photos and all is fine. Then I usually apply my preset to a photo and then apply it to all of them, that is when it freezes and I have to close it. I am working off of SSD's, plenty of RAM and storage.
I have tried to reinstall 2 times, I have tried all different kind of option changes and nothing works. I have so much work to do and I cant do anything. Please let me know if there is anything you can think of.
Thank you

That's the latest Game Ready driver, which Nvidia and Adobe doesn't recommend for creative apps like LR. (Game Ready drivers don't receive as much testing with creative apps.) Instead, install the recommended Studio driver:

I have found that LrC is painfully slow applying presets. I sometimes apply a preset to a hundred or more files and LrC goes non-reponsive for several minutes. It has not crashed and will eventually complete the task. I start the Task Manager and see that LrC is consuming ~10% of the CPU, and eventually comes back to life. LrC has many performance issues that make it a pain to use.

I observe more blank screens while LrC is busy with some editing, further more after the last update LcR 14.5.1 is even using more GPU than before ; my Geforce Studio Driver is uptodate and also my Windows 11 with 16 RAM
Problem#Question: is Abobe making LcR into a kind of Photoshop in stead of a rather fast photo editing program?
As an hobby photographer I would really be disappointed if so!
At present it looks as if Adobe is forcing me to buy a heavier computer

Thank you for sharing your experience. To help the team assess this, please try the following quick checks:
• Reset Lightroom preferences (after backing them up). Corrupted preferences can sometimes cause lag or display blank screens.
• Test with GPU disabled under Edit > Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor > Off. Then relaunch Lightroom and check if the issue persists. This will help isolate whether GPU acceleration is contributing to it.
• Check for external drive activity or antivirus interference if your photos or catalog are stored outside the system drive.
If the issue persists, please share your system information (Help > System Info) and a brief screen recording that shows the behavior you mentioned.
Best regards,
Anshul Saini
