Lightroom Classic 14.5.x: another sloppy upgrade performance wise

I thin k that Adobe does it on purpose: one upgrade is om the other one introduces performace issues.

I have a powerful PC: 13 13700, 64GB RAB, RTX 4070 12GB VRAM, two very fast SSD.

before upgrafing to 14.5 all was running smmoth and nice, after 14.5.x installation all has become sluggish at UI and performance level: moving from one picture to the next, zoomin in/out, selecting with an object mask, exporting... The UI stutters and is very sluggish...

Do you have try to reset the preferences of Lightroom Classic:  How to reset Lightroom Classic preferences (adobe.com)

It's recommended to backup your preferences before you reset the preferences to the default settings:

https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/preference-file-and-other-file-locations.html

Is your system up-to-date? Do you have installed all recent updates and patches for the operating system and the device drivers, especially the graphic driver. Please make also sure that you have installed the Studio version and not the Game Ready version of your NVidia driver.

Please provide a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the LrC Help > System Info menu item. There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum post.

Do you have stored your catalog on OneDrive? If yes, move it to the internal drive.

My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 8 - PureRAW 5 - Topaz Photo

Oh gosh always the same questions!

Whatever the system I have, if after an update of LrC only LrC become sloppy probably it's the LrC upgrade!

Anyhow I'll try to answer some points.

No I have not reset preferences: this is not proved to solve problems.

Yes system is up to date: Windows is, LrC is, drivers are, Nvidia drivers are studio etc etc etc

PS and Catalog is on an internal and very fast SSD.

Catalog is not synced with any cloud storage.

Pictures are on a separate internal and very fast SSD.

BTW I am a 52 year old IT professional keeping my PC tidy and optimized and up to date regularly.

So, if before upgrade to 14.5 all was fine and smooth and fast and after upgrade UI is kuggy, probably (again) the problem is LrC.

We have to ask always these questions, because the problem is often caused by outdated or incompatible drivers. Many problems can also be solved by resetting the default settings, even those you wouldn't have expected.

The system infos are also relevant to try identify the issue.
