Question

Lightroom Classic amount slider grayed out in some presets and not others

I have certain presets I have made that have the option for the amount slider and some that don't. I have made them all the same way, including checking the "support amount slider box". Every time I create a new preset, even if it is off of an already-created preset that does support it, the amount slider becomes grayed out. The screen recording I made to show is too big, but here is what I have done:

- Updated the preset's current settings

- Reset crop & transform and updated the preset's current settings

- Updated Lightroom

- Optimized my catalogue

- Created a completely new preset on a new photo with the same settings, but left out lens corrections, transform, and calibration
- Made sure the "store presets with catalogue" button in preferences was unchecked

- Restarted my laptop

- Ejected my external hard drive and applied the preset on the smart preview

- Plugged in my external hard drive and applied the preset to the regular image

I am so behind on editing because of trying to figure this out :(.

Thanks for the help!

Have you tried resetting the preferences? Corrupted preferences can lead to all sorts of strange behavior.

Ok, a few thoughts

  • JPEG vs RAW, highly dependant upon just what is in the user created preset. For example, if a Profile is included.
  • Process Version, for the image(s) in question, not somehow not process version 6? (Current)
