Lightroom Classic CC - Background Activity

There is bar at the upper left of the screen that grows to the right as certain processing are ongoing such as converting to DNG, exporting, importing, etc. There is also a notification at the top left indicating synchronization with Lightroom CC. Often, there are no indications at all on the screen that a process is in operation. However, sometimes when I try to exit the program there is a notification that certain processes are still underway and uncompleted. Also, when I try to rename or move a folder I get a message that this action is not possible. I believe it is because some process is happening in the background. Is there a way to check on these invisible processes?

If you turn it on, then you will have to turn it off yourself.

Can you be more specific about what processes are still underway?

    I don't think that's the reason.

Some processes, as you note, are shown by a progress bar top left of the Lightroom workspace. Others can be turned on or off as desired, such as synchronizing with LR CC, face recognition, etc. And after that, I am not aware of a way to find out what exact tasks Lightroom is performing.

Sync with LRCC is ongoing. Is face recognition also an automatic process or dies it have to be intentional started for a selected folder? I did use it recently. Is it still going on in the background?
