Lightroom classic changed to CC2015??

Hi,

I bought a new laptop and imported all the settings and software from the old one. In the old laptop I had LR Classic. Now, all of a sudden it has turned into CC2015. What happened? When I was trying to launc LR in my new computer for the first time I needed to log in to my Adobe account. However I did not check any boxes to upgrade.

Is this just some trial thing or what? I do not want to pay any monthly fees for I have once purchased LR6 already. Where do I find the info if that has happened or not?

Thanks.

It’s not a good idea to import software from an old computer. It’s best to use the installer package. You can of course copy your last catalog (ending .lrcat)

If you have LR6 you should be able to download from this link:

Download legacy versions of Creative Cloud apps

Or the operating system on the new laptop will not support Lightroom Classic.

We don't know what happened. You'd have to provide a lot more detail about the exact steps you followed.

Or just download and install Lightroom Classic, and don't worry about it.
