Lightroom classic crashing when GPU is enabled

I am using Lightroom Classic for a while and after latest Lightroom Update if I select Auto or Custom in Edit>Preferences>Use graphic processor then Lightroom will freeze or crash a few second after I open it or start edit photos.
My system is:
Mainbaord: Asus Tuf Gaming 650m-plus

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7700X

RAM 64GB
Windows 11 64X
Drivers and Windows are all up to dates
I have done steps below:
1- Restarted machine

2- Tried to update all drivers include GPU, mainbaord and Windows

3- Disabled the built in GPU (It get worse and start lagging from begining and then crash)

4- Reinstalled Lightroom

5- Reinstalled Lightroom on another partition

6- Increased the cache to 100GB

7- Use smart preview instead of originals for image editing ticked and unticked both the same

8- Generate preview in parallel ticked and unticked both the same

9- By disabling the "Use graphic processor" then it will work and I think it's using the built in GPU

So basically the summary is like this:
- Selecting main GPU : crashing
- Selecting internal GPU: working but not as fast as using main GPU

- Disable internal GPU in Device management and force using main GPU: very slow and lagging when edit photos
Any idea or help would be appriciated

Thanks a lot for this. I installed this driver and it works, but the Intel Graphics Software app then tells me that there is another update. When I download and install this update, it then doesn't work again. Do you by any chance know why this would be?

"I installed this driver and it works, but the Intel Graphics Software app then tells me that there is another update. When I download and install this update, it then doesn't work again."

Based on many reports here over the years, Windows Update and the manufacturers' update utilities aren't to be trusted -- they sometimes don't provide the most recent drivers listed on their web sites.  That's why Adobe's help article says to go directly to the manufacturer's web site.

As an industry, graphics drivers are a mess.  For the past several years, more and more apps like LR are using GPUs for "AI" algorithms, in ways much different than games synthesizing images of monsters. These apps are tripping over many, many bugs in the drivers, and the GPU manufacturers end up releasing new versions of the drivers a couple times a month.  LR has been under pressure from customers to offer state-of-the art photo processing at reasonable speeds, so Adobe has been fairly aggressive at using the GPUs more heavily; you can see from this forum that LR is frequently tripping over the GPU bugs.

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut out as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs and it takes up vast amounts of scroll space making the reply less readable and less likely that others will bother with your post.

Hi there,
As I mentioned in my previous post all drivers are up to dates.
Also uninstalled all drivers with AMD uninstall tools and reinstalled but
no luck.

Regards,
Max

Have a look at the suggestions at https://www.reddit.com/r/radeon/comments/1ad69lg/lightroom_classic_crashing_on_the_latest_driver/

Most of the AMD features that folk in above suggest disabling relate to gaming.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
