Lightroom Classic default export folder Mac

I export to different folders all the time using presets and "choose folder later" setting.

LR keeps defaulting to a specific folder buried deep in my folders that I used a few years ago, rather than last export folder. This has been a problem for a while. On a busy day this can cost me a lot of time. 

I don't want to reset preferences for the whole app because that's a pain to recover from if I do it once, let alone have to keep doing it.

Thanks @GoldingD  that will help me a lot. I searched the hell out of this forum and could not find an answer.
