Lightroom Classic desktop - how to merge multiple exposures?

I have Lightroom 2015.14 release, currently fully updated. I want to take several exposures of the lunar eclipse, sinking in the sky toward setting, then merge them into one image showing the moon at progressively lower elevations.

The only options available in Photo-Merge are HDR and Panorama, neither applicable to my situation.

Is there a way to do this in the current Lightroom Classic?

This question was asked in this forum back in 2010, but I cannot find anything more recent.

Back in 2010, the only suggestion was to use a plug-in, Enfuse.

No you can't do this in Lightroom. Enfuse will not help. You need to do this in Photoshop. If you have Lightroom Classic you also have access to Photoshop. From Lightroom select al your images and select "Open as Layers in Photoshop". Change the blending mode of the top layers to "lighten" and you should see the moon move progressively down assuming you took the images from a tripod at regular intervals.

Thank you, Jao vdL, for this info. I took some sample pictures placing a toy car at various intervals on my deck railing. I may need to experiment with some of teh other "blending" modes.

But I think this will work for me!

I haven't been one to use a lot of plug-ins with Lightroom. The type of thing you are trying to do is something that I would probably turn to Photoshop to accomplish. It isn't possible to combine images in that way using Lightroom, even today. Whether or not it's possible to do it with a plug-in is something I'm not familiar with.
