Nef Files are color distorted in lightroom. I can see them normally in Nikon Processing software. I am using Release 14.0.1 Camera raw 17.0 Build [202410161356-30922cfc]
Here is a screen shot of a picture

You didn't say anything about your computer, but that looks like you need to update your graphics driver.

Is this a MAC, is the GPU by AMD?

You've got the latest Studio driver installed for that GPU. Next steps:
1. Disable the integrated AMD GPU, as described here in step 5:

Sometimes LR gets confused by the presence of two GPUs.
2. The .nef might be corrupted in a way that confuses LR. Please upload it Wetransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive, or similar free service and post the sharing link here. We can see if it opens properly in other LR installations.

I think the .nef is corrupted. When I open it in my LR 14.0.1, the embedded JPEG preview is fine but I see the same corruption in Develop:
The Rawdigger app thinks the file is corrupted:
You likely have a hardware problem somewhere in the path between the camera and your disk: the memory card, the USB cable (if you import from the camera via cable), the card reader, USB cable or USB hub to an external disk, main memory, the disk itself (e.g. bad blocks).
This photo was taken in 2019, so you might focus on the disk first, assuming that when you first imported the file it was ok. Run a disk utility to check the disk for errors. Try to retrieve the oldest backed up version of the file you have.

Building on Bill's suggestion, try updating your graphics driver by going directly to the manufacturer's web site:

If that doesn't help, please copy/paste here the entire contents of the LR menu command Help > System Info -- that will let us see exactly which versions of hardware and software LR thinks you're running.
