Lightroom Classic Export extremely slow (Mac Studio with ultra chip)

Question

Why is it that I got a $4000 machine and simple lightroom processing and exporting RAW's to JPEGS extermly slow???

I was processing 79 RAWS into proofs for my clinet and it took almost 7min which is slower than my PC from 10 years ago!

This issue needs to be addresed

Many have reported problems with slow exports recently. First troubleshooting steps to identify possible workarounds:

- Set Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor to Off. Do exports go faster?

- If you're exporting with a watermark, does exporting without a watermark go faster?

- In the progress bar in the upper-right corner, do you see an initial delay of 30 seconds to a couple minutes, and then exports proceed at a more normal speed?
