I'm running MacOS Big Sur 11.5.2, and Lightroom Classic 10.4, but Lightroom keeps freezing then crashing each time I open it - do I uninstall and re-install? I can't get anything done it's so frustrating!

"It's a feature, ot a bug"
I ran into the same issue - starting with "failed to install". This is Adobe's guidance - https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/download-install/kb/failed-install-creative-cloud-desktop.html
I'm at the point of dumping Adobe alltogether

Some folks who come here to rant about Adobe have no idea that is a user to user support forum. I think some people enjoy complaining almost as much as they enjoy doing nothing about it.

I see that I failed to inspect that the link was correct (or has it been changed?)
At any rate, can others look at:

I am having major issues with LightRoom - I am on Big Sur as well and can't even get LR to open. Reading I have to go back to Catalina and restore from my Time Machine. Totally overwhelmed! What other editing option are there? LR is my go to!

This happens on Windows if an Android device is connected. I don't know if that restriction exists for Macs.

First thing to try is:
https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/setting-preferences-lightroom.html
If that doesn't help:
Try logging into another account (you may need to make one), still crashing?
Try starting up in Safe mode (hold down Shift Key when booting), still crashing?
You might want to try running a free utility like Onyx: still crashing?

Thanx - not really an option to roll back because I snagged one of the new Nikon Zfc's - which LrC 10.4 is supposed to sjupport. I'm feeling like a beta tester for Adobe (wait - I do that already)

Or convert to DNG (new version posted the other day) and roll back.
