lightroom classic noise reduction problem

In the LrC community discussions, their are several AMD GPU related problems. Might not be your particular GPU. Issue is AMD added a feature to change GPU settings specific to an Application, LrC was one of the applications (I suspect the others are games). I do not have an AMD, I have an NVIDIA, NVIDIA has a similar approach, but in that case the mod works. Now it appears that someone at AMD fouled up big time, the said feature treats LrC as if it was a game, some of those game specific settings foul LrC up. Solution is to undo the feature.

Apparently Adobe has contacted AMD on this. (Ok, that is on the MACOS, Not sure about WINOS)

Ok, just one link, others exist.

AMD very aggressively add gaming-specific modifications to everything, particularly GPU drivers. They do this as default settings.

Go through the driver and remove everything that seems game-related.

Denoise crashing is always the GPU.

AI Denoise uses the GPU, so problems like these are almost always caused by outdated, buggy GPU drivers. Check with the manufacturer for updates.
